Singer Rina Aiuchi to Retire

30-year-old cites health as partial reason; also sang on MÄRMonster Rancher, others

30-year-old singer Rina Aiuchi unexpectedly announced on Friday that she will be retiring from the entertainment world. Aiuchi delivered the news during a fan club-only concert in Osaka and said that she has decided to retire partly because of her health, with which she has experienced problems in the past. She plans to end her musical career with a concert at Amagasaki City in Hyōgo Prefecture on September 26. Her last album, appropriately titled Last Scene, will ship on September 15.
Aiuchi was born in Osaka on July 31, 1980, and she made her professional singing debut in 2000. She performed various songs for the Detective Conan (Case Closed) television anime series and movies, as well as MÄRMonster Rancher, and other television anime series.
